By installing our direct hard wire power cord you will free up your cigarette lighter outlet or your 12V auxiliary power outlet. The Direct Wire Cord is approximately 8 feet long and comes complete to hook up your radar detector. Normally comes with a T - Tap to connect to a power wire source like below. Just wrap the t-tap onto the wire and pinch with a pair of pliers, then you just connect the red wire to the t-tap.
